Can I hire my own vendors?
We understand this is your day, and your taste is your own. Outside vendors are welcome with prior venue approval before booking. Photographers, videographers, officiants and hair and makeup artists do not require approval.
Our All-Inclusive brings together catering, bartending, DJ and MC, wedding cake, planning support, design, and full-service coordination, alongside our evolving décor collection, premium linens and tableware, furnishings, setup, and cleanup.
Do you offer venue-only events?
Yes, on a limited basis. You may rent the venue and assemble your own vendor team, with a few straightforward approval requirements. Please inquire about availability and options.
Do I need a wedding planner or coordinator?
Our All-Inclusive includes a design meeting and full-service coordination. If you already have a full service planner, preferred coordinator, or are a planner/designer exploring our All-Inclusive for your clients, please inquire! We would be delighted to collaborate with you.
Venue-only weddings require a professional coordinator for the full wedding day, including set up and breakdown, and any onsite rehearsal.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Our standard capacity is 175 guests. Celebrations exceeding 175 require approval at the time of booking and a special permit from the City of Sutter Creek, which we can facilitate. Permit approval is not guaranteed.
How late can my event run?
Friday through Sunday, amplified sound and event concludes at 9:00 PM, with all guests departing and onsite activities ending by 10:00 PM. Monday through Thursday, amplified sound and event concludes at 8:00 PM, with all guests departing and onsite activities ending by 9:00 PM.

What is your alcohol policy? Are there corkage fees?
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol, with no corkage fees. We allow beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Shots, unmixed spirits, and liquor on the rocks are not permitted.
Our All-Inclusive includes professional bartending and bar provisions, with the option to add a fully hosted bar and cocktail tasting.
For venue-only weddings, you must hire a licensed and insured bartender.
Self-service alcohol is not permitted.
Do you have a rain or heat backup?
For celebrations with fewer than 100 guests, we can move under the covered pergola. We also work with a tenting partner and can facilitate additional rentals for full or partial venue coverage. Our team will help you consider the arrangements best suited to your guest count and the forecast.
Do you have indoor spaces?
The gardens are outdoors, with indoor bridal/betrothed and groom/betrothed suites, a bathroom lounge, and a covered pergola for gathering.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The Hanford Garden sits on a steep hillside, so we highly recommend a mobility scooter or wheelchair with assistance when moving between the Ceremony Garden, Cocktail Grove, and Reception Garden.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
Yes. Our downtown Sutter Creek location places hotels, inns, and vacation rentals nearby, with several options within walking distance.
Are you dog friendly?
Your dog is welcome for the ceremony and photos, with arrangements confirmed in advance. Dogs must remain leashed and on paved pathways, as some garden plants are toxic to animals.
Afterward, your dog would then need to depart with a designated adult or remain crated in the bridal suite with prior approval. Guest pets are not permitted; service animals are welcome.
